THE CRUSADERS

The Chester County Crusaders is a youth football program that serves families in the greater Chester County area including Downingtown, Exton, Coatesville, and Chester Springs.

Crusader football has a long-standing tradition of offering young players, whether experienced or first-time, an opportunity to learn the game, develop their skills, have fun, and be a part of our tight-knit football family.  Many Crusader alums have gone on to successful football careers at top area high school football programs, colleges and even professional football.

Affiliated local parish communities: Pope John Paul, St. Elizabeth’s, St. Joseph’s, S.S. Phillip & James

Coaching

We maintain a high coach-to-player ratio and our staff has well over 100 years of combined coaching experience.  Many of our coaches played college football and/or have high school coaching experience and most have no children on the team.  We have dedicated coaches at the positional level just like high school and college programs to maximize player development.

Varsity Head Coach: Kevin Pellegrini

JV Head Coach: Mike Riddick

Fundamentals

We teach the mental and physical side of the game the way it is played today.  This includes offensive and defensive schemes currently being utilized at top area high schools and the college level as well as modern practice and training techniques.

We believe youth football should be fun and memorable, but also foundational for players that will go on to play at the next level.

Alignment of Interests

We focus on player development, team-centric football, and competing at a high level.  We are invested in the athletic and personal development of each one of our players.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We are football folks at heart.  We believe in developing the player and the person and our program is structured around that ethos.  The game of football gives young people the chance to form bonds and relationships that only come from being part of a team, a part of this game - relationships that last a lifetime.
